This game modification has every last monster available in the game without the need of trading with another person. This is perfect for a person forever alone like myself, okay just kidding! While this may seem like a very shallow game modification, there are plenty of other additions that this game modification adds.
Because all of the Pokemon are available in the game, the trainers you fight in the game have their rosters modified to balance the game out, and even make it more challenging at times. You have all of the keys to the Unova Link available as well. At the beginning of the game, the difficulty keys, Black City and White Forest keys are given to you. Later on in the game when you make it to the sealed chamber, you are given the keys that grant you access to the remaining Regi's
Items that you find on routes, as well for items and key items that NPCs give to you are also changed. The gate lady in the first town, for instance, gives you the bicycle.
With the addition of every possible Pokemon made obtainable, the game has been made far more challenging. Gym leaders have a more difficult party configuration, and have the levels of their Pokemon raised. In fact, the creator of the modification has even stated, that the Pokemon you will fight in the Elite Four have their Pokemon level range go up to as high as level 70.
With these level raises and a higher difficulty curve it's a good thing that the mod creator has made allot of the legendary Pokemon available before the Elite Four.
While every possible Pokemon is made available, they are not all available in the wild. It's not like you are going to be on a route, training your Pokemon, then all of the sudden; OMFG LVL 70 KYOGRE!
Legendary Pokemon are encountered like they are normally other Pokemon games; at the end of a dungeon or out of the way. These Pokemon must be interacted with to start a battle. Starter Pokemon are gifted by specific NPCs in the game, and are also found in the Wood Hollows scattered throughout the Unova region.
You can also fight the Hoenn gym leaders outside of the Pokemon World Tournament, and re-fight the Unova gym leaders with even harder teams at higher levels. Finally you can fight Hubert and Hilda, the main hero/heroine from Pokemon Black and White outside of the PWT and Battle Subway. Be forewarned though; their Pokemon are very tough, and are kinda like Red from Pokemon Gold and Silver in terms of difficulty.
This isn't your grandmothers' Pokemon game, this is for fans of the series that want a bit of a challenge and a slightly new twist of Pokemon Black 2 and White 2.
Blaze Black 2 Volt White 2
Now I have to put up a disclaimer here; to be able to play this modification of Pokemon Black 2 and Pokemon White 2, you need to have digital versions of the cartridges. The link I provided will only give you access to the patch. There is documentation with the patches that provide Action Replay codes, guides, and the Filenames of the ROMs that you need to download separately. Downloading ROMs of games that you do not own is illegal and strictly enforced on some ISPs and countries.
You will also need a DS Emulator or a Flashcard for a Nintendo DS system to be able to play. The DS Emulator is the legally safer way to go about playing, but if your computer is not very powerful you will need a flashcard. I recommend the Supercard DS Two. But please note, that in some countries, buying a flashcard is illegal and punishable by law so please be careful.
There are some improvements that could benefit this modification. First, make it that before you are given the keys, to force the player to save the game. Secondly, make sure that the Habitat list is not granted to the player until after they make it to the second town. Thirdly modify the in-game Pokedex to display the wild Pokemon changes, while the included guides are nice, unless you have a smartphone capable of displaying .pdf files, when playing the game on the go, it is frustrating to figure out how to locate a specific Pokemon.
